During the 2007 season, Roan Texas qualified for four events in the AQHA World Championship Show, placing in the top 10 in calf roping. He is currently in training with Bobby Lewis for the 2008 season in the following events: calf roping, heading, heeling, and performance halter. Roan Texas epitomizes the statement once made by noted horse historian Nelson C. Nye. “Nothing but blood can produce performance and performance is always the direct result of good blood.” Roan Texas’s pedigree shows the power of Royal King, Peppy San Badger, Doc Bar, and Poco Tivio blood. He stands 15-1 hands tall and weights 1150 pounds. His outstanding confirmation and disposition compliments his pedigree. The legacy of Royal King has come down through his daughters. He is the maternal grandsire of point earners who have won 10,655 AQHA points and $2,066,623 in the NCHA.

of cutting horse money winners. Royal Tincie is sired by Royal King
and out of Texas Dottie. Texas Dottie is sired by Royal Texas by Royal
King. This gives the foals of Peptoboonsmal and Lynx Bar Legacy a 4
x 6 x 3 linebreeding pattern to Royal King.
